Is there a new Tesoro coming this fall??

I think Tesoro is kinda overdue for a better performing up to date target ID model........don't you?? Maybe they just don't have the tech to do this or it is cost prohibitive, the more they put it off the more it will cost them. Even Troy is gearing up for a new model this fall and I'm sure his budget is nowhere near that of Tesoro. You guys got any opinions on this..........thanks. .

I guess the way I look at is they are or have been analog based detector company and maybe it's been kinda of struggle to switch over to more TID style detectors, just a guess they seem like the type of company if it works really good why fix it? how much new tech can we expect, it's just goingto cost a lot more money just my thoughts

I agree, it would be great to see Tesoro come out with a new machine but the high tech TID detectors being produced by the other manufactuers are breaking the bank. In these tough times not many folks can shell out over a thousand bucks for a new detector. The HOT detectors, Tejon, Vaquero and Cibola work well for me. I have a Cibola and borrow the other two sometimes from a friend. IMHO Tesoro's strong points in the detector industry is the quality of the electronics used and the lifetime warranty. This unbeatable warranty is why I have stuck with Tesoro all these years.

They make money.
The more you use them ... the more money they return to your pocket.
What other "hobby" can return money to your pocket?
Hunting? ... Fishing? ... Boating? ... Golf? ... Pool? ... Racing? ... NO WAY!

$1000 plus for a top of the line detector is a lot of money and for the first time buyer cold seem to be an imposable goal.
(top of the line Tesoro is less than $700)
However, anyone that has used a metal detector for one full summer season at the beach has probably found more than that in coins and jewelry.
If old coins from the school yard or playground are your targets then it will be a bit longer to recover the cost of the machine.
Unless of course ... you get very lucky your first time out.

If you are using a machine that finds money (or gold) why would you settle for less than what you consider to be the best?
It is false economy and bad judgment to compromise on the detector you really want just to save money in the beginning.

Then there is the used market where you buy a top of the line detector for less than the price of a new one.
If you get a good deal you can use it for a year then sell it for what you paid for it.
You keep all the money and all the other things you found with it.
It did not cost you anything!
