Is There A Canadian Coin Program For The 3030?

banditicey

New member
We spent the day in the Toronto area today

The morning was spent attending a MD event at Radio World

Afterwards we were to meet friends for dinner and planned detecting a Park(s) during the afternoon

A Nightmare....No Joke

Although we could locate pennies both Canadian and U.S. and Brian found a Silver Ring

We had brought the current Canadian Coins and Silver and Gold to scan but when we did scan aside from the Silver and Gold
and Pennies the Canadian Coins did not register on the 3030 on any program except as Junk (35-49)

We finally used our Park and Garden program and then opened it with no discrimination

One of the most unhappy detecting experiences ever

Does anyone on the Forum live in Canada and have a Coin Program?

Thanks and Regards

Yes I have the minelab Canadian coin program , I can email it to you if you like, works great on all our current coins

Our Canadian coins are essentially made of steel so you will need to open up your discrimination.
Unfortunately bottle caps look almost the same.:crylol:
I've included a doc that shows their compositions.
I think they have changed the compositions again quite recently. You can check with the canadian mint website, but this should give you some insight.
I hope this helps.

Just click on send a message near my name
If you are new to Forum they wait to allow you to receive pm's until you have posted
and been around for awhile to avoid problem people

but I believe once you pm me I can reply..worth a try

If that does not work we will figure something out

Where are you in Canada?

Regards

Hi Saskhunter, I tried sending you a PM as well. I live in British Columbia and would love to get the Canadian Minelab Program but seem to not have the right to send you a PM.

Hi Saskhunter, perhaps if you and I keep responding on this post a few times, you'll be able to then send and receive PM's. I just tried to send you another one and no luck. I really want that canada coin program too!

Saskhunter

Really appreciate your efforts on getting us your Canadian Coin Program

May i suggest you contact the person in charge of this forum and see if there is a solution about your ability to pm or get a pm

My next move is to leave you my email which is no big deal but not what we usually do

Regards

Hi I would be willing to post my email if that would not break any rules ? Iam going to get on my laptop and try and see if I can send pm, maybe the iPhone app doesn't allow it as I know it doesn't have all features as Internet forum
ok on my laptop now ands still no place beside anyones name for a pm!, checked all my user settings and nothing in there for me to open up pm's, like I said I would post my email if its ok
I also just left an email on the contact up link to help with this problem, but for now Iam packing up the ctx and heading to an old beach , will check in later today

Well, I even tried adding you to my buddy list Saskhunter and still can't PM you. Seems really bizarre that we can't send you a pm...

Hi folks,

I think I have a copy of the Canadian Coins program for the CTX3030 that Saskhunter refers to. I've tried sharing it on Dropbox:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/p1akho1wg7cppij/Canadian%20Coins%20Original.mlf

Please let me know if you're able to download it.

I have a novel idea, how about if anyone has a canadian coin program, or any other program that would benifit someone, contact the moderator and have them post it in the CTX 3030 Resource Center. I thought that was what the resource center was for.

Hi Kittlitz, I uploaded the program to my dropbox, when I click on it, it asks me to either save it or open it. If I click open, it asks me what program to open it with. I tried a few different programs, but no luck. What do you suggest? Cheers

Thanks Kittlitz for the Canadian Coin Program. I had it uploaded to the CTX 3030 Resource Center ( http://www.findmall.com/list.php?87 ). Dwayne, there are directions on how to up load, down load files into exchange 2 and your CTX. Hope this helps.

Hi Dwayne, you have to use the XChange2 PC program that comes with the CTX to download the file to it.

Cheers,
