Is there a 6" coil that works with the CTX besides Minelabs $300 one?

kanaka2

I did a search - nothing specific.

Would rather not spend an extra $300+ for Minelabs 6" coil. Investigating a non-hyperinflayed cost alternative. I see EXcellerator makes a 6" but can't see where it is for use with the CTX. SEF....is this the same company?? Frankly not able to find a 6" coil non-oem on google for he CTX.

Thanks!

Sorry.... But there are no aftermarket coils being made for the CTX. I'm not sure there will be any made. I'm sure it's because of the special microchip technology that's in the new Minelab coils. Who knows.... Maybe one day.

Got my 6" coil from Larry at NWI Detectors for less than 300.00 and I am happy I did! I love that little hockey puck!

I heard from KellyCo there would be after market coils soon meaning like weeks or a few months , I didn't ask it was just mentioned to me while I was onthe phone with them ordering the Whites new TRX pointer. I'm not real interested inane more 're coils so I did not ask for details. Sorry.

Huh, first I heard that

looks like coiltek is going to have an 'authorized' for CTX 5"X10" coil available in June, but the price (here in Ontario) will be $410 + 13% GST! I don't think they'll be selling many of these.....double ugh....

If they can make an aftermarket coil for the CTX, then an inline probe should be.possible.

The detector is heavy enough. I like the TRX and really don't want a probe. 400.00 for a third party coil? It sure better perform better than the stock coil. And in my opinion that won't be easy to do.

That's nuts... it better dig the plug for that amount of money
