Is the Scorp for me?

Hey guys,

I recently posted in the main Garrett forum about purchasing a metal detector. I'm new to detecting and want a detector that can do the general things like detect jewelry and coins, but also detect nuggets because I live where a lot of gold mines used to be. Is the Scorp for me or not?

I would say based on your requirements a resounding "Yes". Others will concur. I have ordered my own for the very same applications.

I would also say "YES"......it was designed primarily as a gold nugget detector, with the added bonus of a motion discriminate mode, which is what most modern detectors have, only without any type of meter. Plus....it has the ability to be ground balanced in a manual mode or just turn on and go in the auto mode. I get by just fine hunting for coins and rings in auto mode.
