I cannot comment on the Pro Wader but I can for the Infinium & the BHID.
500 for the Infinium is a good buy but I would have thought that it was a bit steep for the BHID,
The Infinium is without doubt an excelent salt beach and surf detector with the proviso that you understand that it requires a bit of adjustment of the disc control to get it to run smooth over the salt, whereas the Pro has probably been set up for salt beach detecting, that is , the pulse time delay is set for most beach mineralisation and will run smooth out of the box. The pro Wader would have to be very good to better the Infinium. Maybe someone else could comment re that machine.
I also use a BHID and although this is a VLF machine it is excelent on all but heavy black sand beaches and it does not like high iron mineralisation.
I am in Australia and the BHID runs beautifully on all of the beaches I have taken it to; Once Ground Balanced to the wet sand It tracks smoothly from dry to the wet sand into the water without a murmur plus it has a crude but effective discrimintor using three coloured lights and tones to ID targets. I find that it is capable of very good depth in wet sand and will detect an Aussie 20 cent coin at 12 + inches. The detector will not ID a target until a strong signal is produced.
The early models of the BHID were fitted with a very boyant coil which some people did not like because they felt it was too dificult to hold on the bottom when sumerged, I have not noticed this problem but then I raerly go more than waist deep.
If you are a Dig It All type of detectorist then the Infinium would be a good choice and if you donot like to fiddle with adjustments then I might sugest the
MK 2 Seahunter. or any other top brand beach dedicated PI. Even though I am a dig all targets person there are times when I get pretty ticked off digging bobby pins and screw caps, so having a detector with true discrimination at the beach can calm the shattered nerves on occasions.
Just an opinion.
