Is the GT 10" coil the same as Excal 10"

Hi guys

I'm wondering is the stock 10" coil that comes with the GT the same 10" coil that comes with the Excal? Reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking of hard wiring my 10" GT coil to replace my 8" coil on my Excal.
