is the goldmaster 3 still a good gold machine?

or is it outdated and not worth the time. i am going to buy a mxt but i found a gm3 for sale also and i would like to have a second gold machine for a back up and for friends to prospect with. what is one of these old machines worth? or should i just try to get a second mxt?

Its still a very good machine , I've still got its predecessor the Goldmaster 11

I saw one sell for $325 on another forum recently . I lucked out and got one for $100 at a garage sale last year .Haven't used it yet except to test it's functions .I'm looking forward to going for the gold with it this year .
