Is the CTX sensitive enough to get micro jewelry at the beach?

I'm on the verge of a purchase and am really interested in the CTX BUT would like to know if it will hit on micro gold jewelry. I know from looking at everyones posted finds that it will hit on small rings and such but water detectors, for the most, part will miss small linked gold chains without larger clasps or items on the chain and items like an earring back..

I've read about all I can on the net on the CTX, read Gary Drayton's book on it too but still can't find any good micro jewelry finds posted ..... earring backs (gold), small linked gold chains without charms or crosses etc attached.....

My detectors that I have already are the Sand Shark, CZ-21 and the Sovereign GT and I already have good luck with them and thought adding the CTX would be good...... and then I thought that I could instead purchase an Excalibur and a Gold Bug 2 and possibly cover finding more items with the addition of those two detectors.

Yeah, I know you can only use one detector at a time but the wife likes to go out too and I thought IF I wasn't water detecting, the wife and I could be a heck of a team on the dry sand, her using the GT and me following up with the gold bug. If in the water, I'd have my choice of the SS and the Excal with a CZ-21 as a back up IF anything went wrong with the first two.....

So, how about it guys and gals...... can the CTX do micro jewelry hunting successfully?

Hi Cliff!
I believe the CTX is more sensitive that the E-Trac but still not a great micro jewelry machine. SUPER on coins and rings though. Holler if you have more questions, love to help you!

The CTX freq is too low for super micro jewelry machine. And a super micro jewelry machine is not a super coin machine.
