Any deeper tha an Ace 250 or a Teknetic Euro pro?Just wondering I have used both of these but was considering a Compadre. Thanks GuysHH

the compadre is better than the ace 250 hands down . i would give up detecting if i had to use a ace 250

dont know about the teknetics euro , but i tried the delta 4000 and liked it

Same here. I tried 2 of the 250's. Lots of falsing and that annoying bell tone. The Compadre is great but it is Not a real deep machine

Metalfun,

That can a little hard to say as the Ace 250 uses a 6x9" concentric coil while the compadre uses a 5.75" round concentric coil.

I would say the Ace 250 with the 6x9" would have a depth advantage of maybe an inch or two over the Compadre witb the 5.75" (which has about a 6" depth limit, though sometimes deeper in the right soil), but in trashier areas the Compadre would trump the Ace due to its ability to unmask targets, which is a huge advantage.

There is a 4" sniper concentric coil you can get for the Ace 250 which I know a lot of people use in parks and love it, but of course its depth is limited to 4-5".

As fro the Eurotek Pro, it will go slightly deeper than the Ace with the standard coil.

I have both. The Ace is better in open areas. But for close in fighting, the Compadre is the one I go for. I just picked up 106 coins today, with the Compadre. Found a honeyhole that was non-stop for two and a half hrs. ( $8.50 )

I have both the Ace 250 and the Compadre with the 8" coil which I purchased last fall. In my opinion the Compadre (or at least the one I have) has more depth than the 250. I am in Northern IL and the soil is fairly mild. I have not used the "Tek" so I cannot comment on that. I tend to find that when I do get a chance to get out and hunt I grab the Compadre. Again, just my opinion.........

With the 8" coil, the Compadre is not only deeper, but the recovery rate is better than the Ace 250. The smaller 5.75" on mine, found less junk and more coins than my Ace 250. I would guess that it was because of a more stable ID system. My Ace jumped around a lot more unless it was a silver coin. Then the Belltone would definetly let you know it was a coin.

The ETP reminds me more of my F2 with the numeric ID. I haven't tried a ETP, but from my understanding, it is deeper than the F2. It has no segments like the F2, but once you take the time to learn the number system, it appears to ID better than both you mentioned. Plus a superior tone function over both.

Just my thoughts.
