The Cibola is a very good detector as all Tesoro's are but the Compadre is a better jewelry hunter. In my opinion there is not a better jewelry hunter than the Compadre. If anyone doubts me, get a very fine linked gold chain and waive it under the Compadre's coil and do the same with any other detector you choose ;) Steve.

cibola with clean sweep coil.

Now that will most certainly find more gold than a Compadre, but will cost you about three times more.

Smallest jewellery I ever found with the Cibola were sleeper (gold) ear rings, close to the surface but not visible. Gave a very good signal but the disc was set below iron. So, yes, unless you discriminate it out, the Cibola will find jewellery.

thanks guys for the info
