Is the Ace 250 6x9" searchcoil

There is currently no DD for the Ace series. The 4.5" sniper is round and the 6"x9" and 9"x12" are oval coils. I guess they are concentric but the location of the sweet spot on an oval coil is in a different location than you would be used to with a round coil. I had never used an oval coil before purchasing the 250 and it took a little getting used to but I've adapted and like it a lot!

I personally don't know that a DD is better in trash but I can attest that the 4.5" sniper does (as advertised) an excellent job of separation in trashy areas.
 
A DD is better in mineralized soil, but not any better in trash. In fact, they love bottlecaps. Will tell you it's a quarter every time. Get a Sniper and find a real trashy spot and watch that little dude get you the loot!!
