Is Scorpion VCO in no-motion all-metal mode?

Hi guys. Quick question about the Scorpion. Is it VCO when operated in no-motion all-metal mode? (VCO is voltage controlled oscillator) Translated this means does it have the tone with a varying pitch?
 
I guess this is what u wanna know, I got 2 of em and it's louder when u get right over the target, and u are a NO MOTION on mine, and I PP on the front tip or the back tip, very accurate by the way :twodetecting:
