Is Pulse Scan TDI discrimination effective?

Users of TDI ...... do you find the discrimination ability of the TDI effective on gold fields littered with tins and other bits of metal?

Hi,

In areas with mostly small gold you can dig the gold and not the large iron junk. But small ferrous stuff gives a high tone just like small gold. Ignore the small ferrous stuff, and you give up all but the very large nuggets. If you are after nugget both large and small, then you pretty much have to dig everything.

I can get more separation with the TDI than any other PI but at the end of the day it is still a PI. If discrimination is what you crave, get a VLF unit. But then you give up the depth! Sorry, no magic bullet.

Steve, in other words what you are saying about the TDI is:

Dig small gold and dig small iron junk. Ignore large iron junk(and probably ignore very large nuggets also).

Better than the Infinium obviously but the discrimination on the GPX 4500, with a DD coil, must not work as well as the TDI's does then?
