Is my F75 wacked feedback needed please

Hello All,
I received my new F75 yesterday. Upon assembly I noticed that the coil and armrest do not line up "straight" or "centered "on the rod.It appears that the holes in the rod where possible not drilled correctly or, is this the way it is designed? The coil leans clockwise on the rod and the armrest is leaning in the opposite direction. It looks twisted to me and when I hold it naturally, the coil is not level across the bottom to the ground. I am going to try to attach a picture for your review. Also, the coil appears to have an epoxy bead around one section on the top of the coil at about where the wire enters the coil. I appreciate any feedback.
HH,
Bill Tracy

This don't look right as mine as far as i know is as straight as a arrow. The little cover on the top of the coil that looks like it has been Epoxied is normal as they all have that.
Contact your dealer or First Texas and let them know about the way it sits on the shaft as this is not right.

...just kidding ! :biteme: Looks like you need a new one or at least a new lower rod and an armrest.

Looked at mine and it's all straight as far as I can see. Even after another cup of coffee it still looks straight.
And since my eyeballs are a little out a whack from aging, I had my son verify the machine, and he said it's straight.
You should contact Fisher and/or where you purchased it from as soon as possible and lay out your situation. You didn't pay a lot less for the 2nd hand reject scratch and dent category machines did you? And as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't cost any to get it right, it's not what you payed for.
So if you could go buy a new car all whacked, the money one could save - no - shouldn't happen.

I just looked at mine and it looks like yours. Thing is as long as it is finding mercs and barbers I am going to keep it. I am afraid if I send it back they will make it straight and screw something else up. I mean how hard it it to slap a pipe in a jig and drill a few holes??

And I just looked at mine and it looks like yours. to
but as long as it works ok i dont mind, it wooks really well on slopes :clapping::ukflag:

It's for metal detecting around corners:drinking: Call someone and complain, would you buy a $950.00 tv and accept that?

Problem is I am traveling to NY state tomorrow and will be gone till the end of October, It will be the only chance I get to find old silver and coppers until next year so I don't want to blow it. I know I have my 2 EX2's but last time I was up there the F-75 seemed to get the better results in the hammered places I have to hunt. What I would like to know is who the Hell is inspecting these units before they are being sent out????

There is nothing wrong with your machine. Just loosen it up, line it up and retighten. The manual makes reference to this very thing on page 5, last paragraph.

Enjoy your F-75.

The picture I took of the unit (and put in my 1st post) is after that particular adjustment.I cant accept a product that looks and functions like mine.It is uncomfortable to swing as I have to turn my arm in an un natural position to keep the coil parrell to the ground. That is not how this machine is suppose to feel, I would think.
HH,
Bill

The first time I put mine together it was a bit skewed like yours. However I was able to line it out so that it is perfectly straight. Well. If you can't you can't and it's Dealer involvement time.

Don't let this turn you off the F-75 just yet. You do have a very capable detector in your hands.

You should not have to whack yourself in order to run the coil parallel to the ground. And you stated you already reset it. Not what you paid - they need to make it right. Till then it would not stop bothering me. It's bad enough and warrants making it right...

My dealer told me that his distributor shipped me a new machine yesterday. :clapping: He has always done right by me and this time is no exception. I am pleased with how quick this was resolved. I am shipping my machine back today. I just hope that I dont get another one with new issues from a quality standpoint
However, I am looking forward to using this machine and will post the outcome once I receive it.
HH to all,
Bill
