Is it wrong?

It is wrong that I prefer to use my Tracker IV over my Landstar? Kind of a tongue in cheek question :)

Yes it is. And as your punishment for being so bad, you need to box that Land Star up immediately and send it to me. I will PM you my mailing address.

Haha send me a check and it will be on it's way. The simplicity of the Tracker is addictive. I have owned it for 10 years, and it still impresses me.

Will one for $10 do it? All i can afford at this time. But, As Wimpy used to say (Paraphrased) i would gladly pay you someday for a Land Star today.

that is wrong on so many levels.......jk have you ever relic hunted with the landstar in no motion all metal mode ? there is no comparison between the two then.

dig on,

Tim

I do absolutely no relic hunting. All I use my machines for is coin/jewelry hunting at local parks and houses. I never hit beaches either. So what i have works fine for me. I would like to try a few other brands though. Just their basic units would be fine with me.

The Tesoro Compadre is nice.........so are the lower end Teknetics models. Just food for thought.
Yep. I use the Tracker for skimming the surface (what's gonna be deeper than a few inches at most sites?) and therein lies the success of the Tracker. If the site produces, I grab my Compadre and get the small stuff. I get so mad at just picking up a nickel at barely 1" with the Tracker. I wish they had a 5-6" coil. May have to just use the 4"

I hear ya Slingshot, the Tracker is my weapon of choice when I know there are lots of coins between 1-3 inches. I usually use the 4" coil because of the trash and the quick recovery rate. I also know I am missing a lot of ground, but if thats the case I get to detect that area more times :) It would be no fun if I totally cleaned out a spot on the first visit. Gotta look at long term.
