Yes and no,it never uses more than 3 while you are hunting.
that's not how the above ad reads IMHO,,,, I read alot about only three freqs and the NC funtion picks the three,,,, but how is the above ad not a blantant lie,,,,,, explain please !!!!

The E-Trac wins hands down right out of the box in my experience.Do a search on both forums and you should be able to make an obvious choice to suit your detecting needs.

Get Andy Sabisch book on Etrac and he will explain it.The Etrac is great machine but it is not a do all machine it is a great park hunter like Safari,SE.But for the money you may want to look at XP Deus if you are hunting in heavy trashy parks it is about same cost of Etrac because you will want to get extra SEF coil the Pro Coil does not work that good in heavy Iron trash. If you look at my posts for last 2 years you will see that I agree with you as far as I am concerned also it is a lie. and a real black eye for Minelab at the least very misleading. That being said they are great detectors, noisy as any Fisher I have owned but will find a silver dime to 10 inches next to a piece of junk.28 frequencies,Converts to 11 channels, selects one channel with 3 frequency if I am wrong speak up anyone. If you hunt within 25 miles of your home you may never change channels.I loaned my Safari out this weekend to friend who wanted to try out a Minelab he gave me his upper end Bounty Hunter and I was finding coins with it to 8 inches 3 silver.
