Is it me or am I imagining this?

I own both the AT-Pro and Gold I have used both a ton. Here's what I've noticed it seems that the gold locks on targets better and gives a more accurate ID than the Pro. The Pro seems to bounce around on target ID'S more. And that's with both using the 5x8" coil attached. Has anyone else experienced these same results?

With my AT Pro . . . no.

However when your target starts to get out to the very limit of your coil
then beyond . . . into the extended fringe . . . it will bounce.

When I airtest I measure within the range of the coil not the extended range.

I consider that normal for any MD.

I love 'em both, but it's little goldie that usually goes out the door with me. I feel like I can pick out the good signals from amongst the junk a bit more easily, and the all metal mode is a killer when you need max depth or want to do a little prospecting.
