target's on edge better than the regular MXT...

I have has 2 regular MXT's and 3 MXT 300's and they are nice but they doent seems as hot on the edge stuff as the PRO is....

The PRO seem's to be really nailing stuff in hunted out spot's and after carefully recovery the target's are on edge....I can tell the target's are on edge before retrieval by the audio response double blip on a east west swing and a grunt on the north south swing.......

running +3 gain, relic mode disc set at 2. tone's are 2 tone....

digging a lot of Buckshot also....

Cant say the PRO is any deeper but it sure seems more sensitive.....

I am using the 6x9 DD coil....that's my go to coil on the MXT's and I have never seen this type performance before...

Just though I would ask and see what other's who have used all of them are seeing ??

KeithI noticed the same thing with my MXT PRO.It seems I found a lot more coins on edge or severly tilted in the ground.I was comparing it to my DFX.I loved the 10 inch double d coil, the D2 coil from Whites on my MXT PRO.It is deep and seperates well for it's size.Bill

I have had 5 M6's and 5 MXT's and 1 MXT 300 (the same detector, different decal and stock coil) and have used ALL of White's coils on them as well as some after-market offerings. Many of the types of sites I hunt have coins that aren't 'flat' to the coil for many reasons, especially due to plowing or dug-up dirt that is dumped in lumpy piles.

I almost always run at +3 Gain, and switch between Relic mode, for the 2-tone option, or Coin & Jewelry. I find quite a number of coins and tokens, as well as buttons or even rings, that are 'on end' or nearly so. I know a lot depends upon the search coil used, and for me that is usually the 6
