Is it easy to build an Excalibur hip mount?

In pictures on the auction sites, they look pretty simple....

Too easy, just get a piece of PVC pipe, cut to length, drill holes for spring pins(match the diameter of existing rod attachment,of course).
Just keep in mind you do not want to put stress on the cable wires while swinging the coil, make sure they are secure and do not move too much near the connection points..

I made mine out of a dive belt when i had mine set up for hip mounting. These belts have a hook on both sides so you can use a wire connector to secure the cable from pulling. They also have zipper areas to store your finds out there. They also have quick release buckels in case you get in trouble out there. I teather my scoop to one of those hooks. Takes every bit of 10 min. to put one together.
