Is anyone using the 10.5 coil on there edge?

Hi Everyone

Tried the 10.5 coil today on my edge. It was a little more heavy than I thought it would be but not a problem as the control box is as light as a feather. Didn't quite pinpoint the way I thought it would but I don't have any experience with the Fisher 10.5 coil. If anyone is using this coil on there Edge any thoughts or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Ray

Yes, all the Fisher 10.5" coils are pretty heavy. What I do is put the Edge box on my belt. Then at least your just swinging the rod.
Yes, pinpointing with the 10.5" takes some practice. The solid shape in the center, as opposed to the open hole of the 8" spyders, just takes some time to get the hang of. You may wanna put a white dot or something on that solid piece of the coil so you know exactly where the center is. That helped me at first....
In time you'll be pinpointing in a snap.
HH,
Bill

My Fisher coil is open in the center. The center of the coil comes to a point at the 12 O'Clock and tha 6 O'Clock position. I back the coil up until the target falls off the 12 O'Clock position and its there every time.
