irritating AT PRO

Hi a question I have a at pro a couple of years now and never had any problems a good detector
and I did many good finds with the at pro
but now I had a good detector on the field after a few hours of searching suddenly irritating sounds and could not do more ground balance also I had another coil tried nothing helped I had to stop
come home I have tested some but the detector is not good
I leave the detector on and pulled the plug out of the coil and then it was quiet
I plugged back in and it is oke I can hunt again has anyone had that problem too
I am from the Netherlands so my English is not so good My apologies

I would make sure there are no small cracks in the coil around the connection on the coil as well as the bottom was it wet when you were hunting .Did you try a factory reset ? Do you have an extra coil to try to see if it did the same ? Lots of variables do you use a coil cover if so did you make sure it was clean inside of it between the coil

There are no cracks in the coil and no coil cover and it was dry, I now Wat you mean
and I did the factory reset and I try an extra coil,it dind work on the field
Back home I leave the detector on and pulled the plug out from the coil and then it was quiet
I plugged back in and it is oke I can hunt again
and I try it now and it is still working good
I hope it will stay good tomorrow I Will hunt in a lake

After four years my at pro died Yesterday,I pushed all the buttons but nothing works
I hat to take the batteries out to turn off the detector
need the detector to send to Garrett for repair
I don't think there is a repair shop in Europe
Maybe I send the detector to Garrett in America, who has a good address?

I have other detectors but the At PRO is the best detector at the moment for me.

This is my first time on this board. I have been following your posts with special interest because my AT PRO has the same hiccup. That is until this morning. I live on a pre civil war farm with tons of iron farm stuff. every so often when hunting in the back yard the AT goes bonkers. I tried every thing you did and then some. This morning I had the phone in my hand with garrett's # . I went out the front door and turned on the AT so garrett could here the mess. It was perfect , no abnormal sounds. walked to the back yard it went crazy.
I built a 10 k watt wind turbine and the power lines are in a 5 foot trench in the back yard. I shut the mill down and all was perfect. the 3 faze power lines mess up 10 feet on ether side.
This may not have any thing to do with yours but the sounds were the same.

okay that seems to me to lie to power interference or something
I have just put on the detector and this does it again no problems I'm going out of the week see if this continues to work
driving me mad i don't no

Hi
I have the At Pro not yet in repair because the mails were not answered by the repairman, Friday I finally got answer
this weekend hunted for 6-8-hours and the AT PRO did it fine without disturbances but there was condensation on the screen, there is fluid in
but I do have another nice find.
