Irregardless of the pros or cons posted, I will probably purchase an "800". Minelab has never let me down.

X2....best machines I've used for various reasons.
 
Currently run the CTX, Excal for water, also have the 705 and an old X-terra 30. The X-terra line is to my liking due to it's weight, as I am a likely candidate for rotator surgery. Blahhhhh
 
Agreed. I've never had a bad Minelab detector. I love the SDC, GPX, E-trac,and the X-Terra line. The worst detector decision I ever made was to sell my X-Terra 70.
