Irratic Explorer question

Has anyone had there explorer go nuts while swinging becouse of low batteries? The low battery sound didn't go on and the ID said it had juice but the detector was out of wack. Reset and noise cancel did not work. Now that I put a fully charged pack in it seems stable again. I had hunted with no problems for 4 hours before the problems started. I wasn't fully charged when starting out. Never have I experienced this as the detector has always worked fine until the last ounce of battery life. I'm very puzzled about this one.

had that happen to me a few times, the machine wouldnt stop beeping and the crosshairs would bounce around like crazy. sometimes it would stop if i move a few feet away or turn the xs off then back on. dont want to send it in unless it goes totally batsh*t on me. ken

for what sounds like a simular problem. Maybe the battery pack is getting old. Will have to see what mark and the guys come up with.
