Iron reject

Do any of you have problems detecting in an area thats loaded with iron.I've been using a whites 6000 di series 2 since 1981 with no problem.I decided to try a CZ-5 because of all the positive things I have read about it.I live in a town that the main industry was iron foundries and the results of these iron foundries was that people used the discarded soil to fill in low places in their yards. This was also done in the local city parks.I never had a problem using my whites, other than if I recieved a lot of signals from the iron I would move over a little to find myself in an area I could use my 6000.With the CZ-5 I am overwhelmed with the high tones from my detector.I mean its nothing to get 4 or 5 high tones in a single sweep and impossible to pinpoint.Do any of you whites owner have this problem and would it be advisable for me to get my old 6000 reworked. Its $45.00 plus parts to get it fixed.
