iron mask issue

ExpIInut

Hi - I've been reading through the posts as regards iron mask and have a question - why does it appear that no one runs with the iron mask wide open on the SE that is NO discrimination at all?

Had I run my XS today at the equivalent of the -22 (-6 on XS) that seems so popular in the US, I would have missed 2 small lead pistol balls both 10mm in diameter and 2 small 18th Century buttons - all 4 of these targets hit bottom left of the screen - do the relic hunters over there search in the same way?

hello just to let you know my favorite way to run my se is wide open iron mask no dis criminatation ferrous sounds i find lots of goodies this way and great tones and better response to my hearing sens mostly at 28 manual it works great for me

Though I'm not sure if SE users are less likely to. I haven't found many targets that hit bottom left in my years of detecting.

I think most all relic hunters hunt in ferrous sounds/open screen ExpIInut.

I would guess about 2/3 or more coin hunters who search parks, schools, other public sites...etc...hunt in conductive sounds with some iron mask...but almost every relic hunter I know hunt with an open screen/ferrous tones.

I did a poll on here a year or so ago and out of the 100 or so who responded...74 of them hunted in conductive sounds/iron mask...but again...those hunters were more than likely NOT relic hunters.

You haven't found any or haven't DUG any? - now I find this strange because IF you only discrim nails out (top left) then you would dig everything else just as you would with any other machine - I hunt in Conductive and dig all low tones hence the 4 small items mentioned in my original post - the only draw back is that unless I pick out the odd tone given off by something that hits top right with a high tone I miss some larger items - it's no good I'll have to do a video to show what I mean.
