Iron mask (does it really)

The subject popped up as I started typing so I guess this has been covered but I can't seem to find it. How is the "IRON MASK" different than creating a custom screen with the same area discriminated?
Thanks for your help, Okie

Quite simply" It's not!!!!!! I used to hunt in iron mask 14, but then I made up a custom screen, which was the same as iron mask 14 and then added the nails selection to it so I wouldn't hear so much of the smaller iron.

Actually if you set the disc screen up to look exactly like the iron mask screen (ie with a vertical line with black on left and white on the right at say, for example, a -10 iron mask setting) it should give the same results as the same setting -10 setting in the iron mask mode.
The advantage of doing this as mentioned by Nick is that you can "also" set additional disc pattern(s) to eliminate bothersome targets, etc which you can't do in the true iron mask mode.
