Iron infested yard still gives up some goodies

hunted a 1915 home today that was infested with iron, I did not have any clear cut signals, there was a nail in almost every single hole I dug with coins

got 1901 indian, 1948 rosie, 1943 merc and some wheats, oldest 1916

Did you have to swap coils out for that one?
Ain't all them nails a pain!
How did that silver ring with the nail in the hole?
Good Digs though

no I left my 9" 3khz coil on I just slowed my swing down to half what I normally do went at a snails pace, and overlapped my swings more than normal. Most coins would give me a high tone for one or two directions and completely scratchy from other directions. You could just tell there was something good down there. Numbers were WAY off, for example the merc dime came in at 46..........:surprised:

Them are some nice finds from a tuff yard G4e. If I'm able too, I like to go back over those tuff yards 2 or 3 times.

I would love to Mark and would if it were abandoned or empty, but people live there and I just knock doors a lot and ask permission. I normally hunt yards like this one day and move on, don't want to overextend my stay. They don't even know me and I am grateful they let me on their yard for 3-4 hours to begin with.

You seem to have the knack! Boy I got seriously blown off a couple weeks back. The guy was offended that I even asked, you know this is private property and that is private also and you should not even be here. WOW I'm glad nobody else has treated me that way!
I did not let it spoil my day, walked back to the truck trying not to bust up laughing. Really was funny.

yeah I hear stories like that, but have never had it happen to me, it may just be the area here, most people are fairly friendly and pretty open to detecting on their land
