Iron Fence

Deep Down

New member
Have a 1877 home with a iron fence around the property next to a 100 year old side walk. Is it possible to discriminate the fence out and still detect next to it ? Have found thirty one oldies on the outside of the side walk and assume there are just as many on the inside next to and under the fence. My bet is the signal would be to strong and null everything. HELP A DUMMY anyone. Thanks

Use the smallest coil you can find...5" if you can find one (white thick hockey puck)or a Sun-Ray X-5...or a 6" if you cannot find the 5s...You are still gonna get the fence on occasion, but it should only be as you swing to it, not away from it.

HH,

Thanks badjim I have had some good luck there with the 705 and am ready to go backwith the E-trac. Wide open on ttf should help me crowd the fence put up with the noise and still get the good high tones then? Thanks for the response and advise. About ready to make an offer to buy the fence HA HA.
