It is possible to get a coin into a buried iron box and use the Iron Mask at "0" and still detecting the silver (or gold) coin that is inside???
Thank's for any comments regarding this matter.

My opinion is no...the box would mask the coin almost certainly.
I think the only way to get a signal would be to open the IRON MASK up to -16 and set for FAST recovery....in this mode there is a slight chance you might get a blip from the coin...probably would be better to use FERROUS sounds as well.
I think the box would give a low tone in FERROUS sounds and as the coil passed over the coin the tone whould "blip" high breifly.
Honestly the one to ask is Mike Moutray....GOLDDIGGER found a recent silver coin with a nail stuck to it....you could ask him what that sounded like
GOOD LUCK and HH

Buzz,
The iron box is close and it suppose to be at 3 ft deep. <IMG SRC="/forums/images/smile.gif" BORDER=0 ALT=":)"> It should be oxide.
Thank's.-

Any returned signal from an iron box (no matter what type metal was inside) would be from the iron box itself.
Hunting with zero disc or looking for a "Big null" with the iron discriminated out would be your best bet to find the box.
Hope this helps.
