Iron Bottom opened back up from being sanded in for over a week

After all that time, something changed and a small portion opened up. First Iron started showing up. That's when 3 us put the brakes on and got a little serious. None of us like to hunt in a herd but this area is IT for as far as the eye can see both ways. So I scored couple silver rings & some iron. Most of our finds especially the rings appear to have been submerged for quiet a while. Something's gotta open somewhere else. Bottom ring is still really black, but marked Stirling. Top ring shows wear but fairly clean.

Fresh water? Silver rings in the brackish bay water that have spend a long time in the silt get encrusted and get very brittle. Gold gets tarnished but will clean up nice.

I think it’s safe to say the beach changes with every tide cycle. Depending on wind direction & storm activity, cross cutting surf can create opportunities by churning up and removing the soft sand and exposing the hard bottom were the good stuff lies and is detectable IMHO. Congrats Dancer.
