It ain't exactly cheap or accessible but the technology will surely trickle down to hobby user detectors at some point. Being able to have a visual ident as well as an ID number might become a game changer. No more digging dozens of pull tabs in the hope of getting a ring !

There was a video from a trade show type expo that shows the machine and how it works. Pretty cool.
