Thought I'd introduce myself. My wife and I recently took up MD'ing as a hobby. We are both believers and spent over a decade in the missions field and are praying hard for an open door to return. Nice to find a place with brothers and sisters in the same hobby!

Got an AT-Pro and Pro Pointer and learning fast and having a ball! Hope to get to know y'all better!

Welcome to the forum. Great bunch of people here. Where are yall from?

our CMD Forum and I pray God opens up a way for you to return to the missions field, if that is what your heart's desire is! Stay with us and post up some pics of you and your wife's finds! May God bless you and yours to be healthy with the ability to go :twodetecting: with lots of nice treasures found! Amen! Ma Betty

Right now we,re in central FL. Have a small business in Winter Garden but live on our small boat on the St. Johns river in Sanford. Just not comfortable in houses any more!

We feel a strong calling to return to maritime missions. Most likely in the Solomon Island / Vanuatu / Fiji area. Desperate needs there. Very long stories about small vessel missions, miracles, illness and more miracles behind us. Even watched 40 used Bibles trigger a national revival.

We have lots of people who share our vision but funding large missions launches right now in this economy will require another miracle which we are waiting on God for. We have a mighty big God and I've learned some hard lessons about thinking I can help speed things up.

As MaBetty stated above, may God open the doors of opportunity to return to the mission fields of your heart soon. One thing I've had to learn about missions, as I've had a desire to return to the Philippines to minister to homeless children, is that, if God wants you to go, He will also provide the funds to accomplish the mission. A wise 'Ole man once told me "blossom where you're planted" and I've not forgotten his advice.

Hope you stop by often. Where do you call home?
God bless.

Mike

Senior Seeker, I could hook you up with a missionary friend who does lots of work with kids in Mindanao. Great guy and his wife, they've been there 18 years. They have a beautiful daughter they adopted as an orphan who, they later discovered, has royal Malay blood. That little girl has opened many doors for them among the Muslim tribes as she and her parents are thus protected! God's plans are often so far above ours......

DUDE, that is so cool, I would love to do full time missions, In Guatemala though. Been there on a couple short term trips. Love It.

I get the idea that you will be able to go again but maybe it is time for a break.
