interference issue

Downdeep

New member
Had the V3 out today in a large area surrounded by a high tensile electric fence. Thats the only thing I could find that might cause the issue I was getting. I would get a nice beep about every 5 seconds that would not go away. I was using relic program with mixed mode. Did away with mixed mode and it got slightly better. Turned the sensitivity way down to about 30 and it got slightly better. Played with the frequencies...trying one after the other with running the full range of offset with no luck. Went back to 3 freqs. and changed from correlate to best data and that silence the beeping. My display still jumped around like crazy with no target, but the detector ran quiet and still seemed to pick up targets ok. I also bumped my recovery speed from 50 where I had it back up to 70. I was surprised I couldn't get a quiet machine with the freq offset or by simply using one frequency. Once I got it quiet, I tried to slowly bring the gain back up to suggested numbers and also bump the sensitivity up. I got the gain up to about 4 under suggested and the sensitivity to about 40. Any higher and the noise came back.

Any thoughts?
