In my nightly quest to air test (it's zero out and frozen solid in the northeast tonight ) so I tried a new test. This is a picture of what I believe is pewter or some sort of pewter-like material. It's an old collapseable cup. I tried air testing it first by waving it with the bottom towards the coil. It registered at fer 0 cond 30. In smart screen it registered at the high top right just as silver.
I then waved it by the coil from the rounded side as seen in the picture. It registered in digital as fer 08 and cond 19. In smart screen it registered at middle right.
I find it interesting that sometimes it depends on how the signal hits the target. Maybe on the rounded side there is less surface area or maybe somehow distorted??
My settings are:
ferrous sounds
audio normal
vol 3
threshold minimum as possible for me to hear
variability 10
limits 10
gain 7
iron mask off
Just thought you'd enjoy the test results for this unique test
