I went out hunting yesterday with my Eldorado & Super 7 coil. I was in a primitive camping area. I had been hunting for about 30-45 min. with mostly trash to show for my efforts. I had the discrimation set low and was digging almost all good signials. Due to tree roots most stuff is shallow in this area, no more that around 3" deep. Well, I got a good hit, stuck the tip of my digger in the ground and flipped up this:
I could tell it was a bag made from leather but in really bad condition. I peaked inside and could tell it held COINS! I decided to wait til I got home to open it...
It had exactly 46 memorial back pennies inside. Oh well, I still think it was a cool find! There were two 1987 pennies that were the newest. Several were 1986 and the oldest was a 1964. Who knows, that bag may have been in the ground for 25 years!
