I know of a place close to my home where my Vaquero goes nuts. Chatter, beep, beep, constant noise (with the stock coil). The area is most likely 100' x 50'. Now, a few weeks ago I was hunting close to the same area when I was payed a visit from an elderly gentleman. He ask what I was looking for, my answer was anything old. Soft laugh from him preceeded, you're hunting in the wrong place. Of course I learned years ago if you want to learn something from someone keep your mouth shut, so. A few moments later he said, where you're hunting now they have back filled dirt many times in the past 50+ years. You'll have to dig 2' to get anything here. You need to be checking over there (where all the noise was, as mentioned in the beginning of the post). "As far as I know they've never added dirt to that area" Da....
Evidently no one else has hunted in the area because of all the beeping and trash. So guess where I'll be going when the temp cools off.
