INTERESTING RESULTS with 10kt ring and X2!

I had found a 10KT men's wedding band just this pass weekend. I run the X2 at Disc 2.5 just enough to knock out smaller iron etc.and disc at 8. Disc will still pick up pull tabs, nickels etc.I go curious and took that ring and air tested in house I was able to set the disc all the way up to 6.5 before the ring started to give a break up signal in air test. I put ring on kitchen floor and was able to pick it up clearly at a good 4 inches at 6.5 disc at 2.5 disc it did 5 inches at 6 inches its breaking up. For a gold ring I'm surprised that it hits so well in sound. I know when I dug it up it was a easy four inches in ground. And that i had a solid hit off of it with coil raised from ground, because i had thought it was a large object when I did that ,the day that I dug it. To me this being my second owned Troy but my first X2 I think this little machine is running hot :hot:,especially having had it sent in to Tesoro for a tune up.And for it to be based in part on the Tesoro Silver Sabre,I would love to try one of them or get my hands on one.just to see how one does next to the X2. I have had other detectors that didn't sound so well against gold and I'm surprised on Hew well this little girl is doing.IMHO

Been finding lots of gold this year with Silver Sabre uMax. Also hunt with a guy who has Troy X2. I would say they are identical in performance. The X2 just has a coincheck button where the Sabre has a pinpoint button. With stock coils you may get a little more depth with the 8" Tesoro than from the 7" Troy coil, but the 7" Troy coil is great in trashy spots. I almost ALWAYS run a CleanSweep Coil on my Sabre. Recently my hunting buddy got a CSC for his X2 and our air tests and field performance are about the same. Found some tiny gold, .177 pellets, splitshot weights and even a sewing needle with Sabre/CSC. As a matter of fact, he is looking for a Sabre too, mainly so he can store the X2 for special occasions.
