Interesting question

Today it seems all kids carry cell phones. I wonder if they also use credit / debit cards ?
The change that use to be found in playground/ parks just doesn't seem to be what it use to.
Maybe the economy is hitting them also ?
After having triple bypass in May I've been a little slow in the get and go dept.

Bypass sucks. Hope you're healing up fine. I've noticed the money kids lose ain't what it used to be. They probably do all have credit cards. They have everything else. HA.
It used to be nothing to find four or five bucks in a playground but not anymore.

Ditto on the well wishes Bruce! I dunno.....I don't think it's the norm for kids "playground age" to carry credit/debit cards....is it (not much surprises me these days though)? The other side in my opinion, is (and not trying to make any blanket statements) kids don't fully appreciate things that are given to them, including money. Ever see anyone drop some change, stop, then think about if it's worth the hassle to even bend-over to pick it up? I have, and about an equal number will just leave it lay. Besides, being young means being somewhat careless...including how one (a kid in this instance) carries his/her money (or other "valuables").

Don't forget....it's not just kids at the playgrounds, mom & dad keep a watchful eye on their kids (hopefully), and in the process may pay less attention to themselves and their belongings. Kids get pushed on swings, merry-go rounds, played catch with, Frisbee, and an endless number of other things. Mom or dad would be the ones losing the more valuable items, kids might have a bit of change or possible a somewhat cheap piece of jewelery, but the parents and where they spend their time is where I concentrate on 1st.
