Interesting park finds

We took a short trip to a small nearby town and hit the small park. What was interesting was the find, or more accurately, the lack of. I found a barber quarter and dime, 1 Indian head and 2 early(1914 & 1920) wheats. John found 2 barber dimes 2 Indian heads and a couple early wheats. The odd part was a lack of rosies, mercs and wheats. These were all deep roughly around 7-9" and nothing but very few clad above that. Myself I found 1 1973 penny. Either this was the site of say an early carnival ground or it had been hunted before and most of the shallow stuff had been found. Just found it a bit odd.

Congrats on the finds. Love the silver ladies! Since it is still being used as a small park, I would guess that someone already cleaned out the clad and the shallow stuff. Those are the types of places that I love to hunt! I guess we should be thankful that not everyone has recognized the capabilities of the CTX 3030! HH Randy
