Interesting item found yesterday

Well-known member
I found this item while detecting around an old demolition site yesterday.
It is hard to read, but it is from the National Bank of Charlottesville, Virginia and on one side they are advertising
4% interest on savings accounts and on the other side is the schedule for the U.V.A football games.
It is shaped like a football and appears to be brass or bronze.
It is dated 1923 at the bottom... never seen one before or heard of any.
I also found the great seal button and need some help on the backmark " C. KENYON CO. NEW YORK ".
I don't have any reference to this backmark and could use some help on approx. dating.
Thanks for looking and any help,
Felix

clarence kenyon, nyc. clothing firm lasted from 1875 to c. 1930. from 1904 on, listed as c. kenyon clothing co. the firm contracted for these particular buttons on 8 jan.1909. 28mm, dark color, rimless and unlined - compliments of mcguinn and bazlelon's great book. cool finds, keep on swingin' that machine.

I found a link for the National Bank of Charlottesville and thought it would be interesting to show the source of the
item I found a month or so ago.
It was the football shaped item with the U.V.A. football schedule on it from 1923 ( see photo in original post ).
This item was given out from the bank for advertising its interest rates.
