Interesting find today

I am am Steelheadfever's wife Bonnie. I thought you might like to see an interesting item that I dug today. My husband and I went to an old park near our home to do a little metal detecting. I was using my White's MXT with my new Excelerator 4.5x7 DD search coil. While my husband was hunting all over the park I chose to hunt along the parks edge. During the hunt I got a very strong signal, and with VDI number at 18-20 I chose to dig. At about 6 inches or so, I recovered this very large Crucifix. It was 6" long and about 2.5 inches wide. I was excited thinking that it was silver. I ran over to show my husband. He was shocked at the size and told me that it was a great find. He then burst my bubble by telling me that it was just plated silver. Well it still is the biggest crucifix that I have ever dug. HH Bonnie in Idaho

Nice find Bonnie! Looks like something a Nun would wear.
