***Interested in relic hunting SC or NC***

Hello fellow relic hunters-

My two buddies and I live and civil war relic hunt in N. Virginia where we both live and work. We have some excellent sites in the area where we have each dug Federal US belt buckles, numerous buttons, period and earlier Spanish silver and other coins and other colonial/civil war artifacts. We are interested in exploring the possibility of civil war relic hunting in the "low country" of SC or even NC, and would gladly reciprocate the favor in sharing our detecting sites here in Virginia with like minded hunters, if permission can be obtained for us three to be able to detect in your "neck of the southern woods." We are ex-military vets, and adhere to the basic tenants of metal detecting ethos (removing all trash, obtaining permission, and being good stewards of landowners property).

My thinking is early February/March time frame for a long weekend. If interested, please PM me. Thanks

Wayne

Hey, I'm new to this site and just saw your request for hunting partners in the SC lowcountry. I hunt with 2 friends from Charlotte and we have gotten access to some property around Awendaw (north of Charleston) and the Yemassee/Pocataligo area. Most of our finds have been a few SC buttons, one US plate, several cannonballs and many shell frags. We used to hunt VA but have been "frozen out" due to land being taken over by the Park Service. We support efforts to preserve hallowed ground but we sure miss digging around The Wilderness and Fredericksburg. We'd welcome the chance to exchange info and/or do some joint hunting with you guys. You can email me at <levester1@gmail.com> or reply to this site.
