I just traded for a Sov but the Sun Ray probe doesnt have a holder. Anyone ever make one? I know velcro wouldnt last very long. I wont be using it much on the beach, but its just nice to have.

Hey Dew. I had two ways of holding the probe. One way was just tucking it in the bottom of the arm cuff between the black cloth and the metal cuff frame. The other way was to zip-tie a tube with a little larger diameter than the probe to the GT shaft and simply sliding the probe in. Worked OK but not great. I've heard you can get the real clips from Ralph at Sun-Ray. HH. Matt

Dew i was thinking of using a piece of 3/4" PVC pipe cut in half , Sun Ray used Heyco Co. to make there parts to hold the probe but since i now use a Pro pointer i have not fixed mine yet , my wonderful English Rat Terrier decided to eat mine :ranting: LOL i took a photo of my holder might give you some glue how to make a new one the base is fine just needs 2- 3/4" clips GL Jim

Hold it in your teeth you PIRATE. HH:minelab: Ralph has the originals. Should find something that will work at Home Depot or Lowe's. Check with your buddy on here.

I have a fix..... got the clips at my boat shop, so im good. Good one hershey1...... i could always tuck it in my shorts too. Matt.... im getting a plan together... i should be good to get out and about with it. Looking forward to some testing.... but not until the water gets ruff. as long as its huntable ..... ill be out there chin deep doing some high tech pan handling.
