Well are research paid off again. Found another old homestead that my son and I have researched, wasnt much left besides some brick and some slate from the roof and a old iron fence that was still standing around parts of the property. Its really special just to find these places let alone get to run a metal detector over the property. I love thinking about how these people lived back then, the house sit practically on a mountain and in the middle of nowhere. Must have been a real chore just to go to town back then, wow! Found 6 indian heads scattered around the house! The only silver so far was a merc that looks to have been used for target practice.:sad: Heres a few pics of what we found. Hope you enjoy!
