Hello to all:

I just received permission to hunt the property in the attached photos. [attachment 264602 IMG_0328.jpg][attachment 264603 IMG_0329.jpg][attachment 264604 IMG_0330.jpg][attachment 264605 NewLostSearch.jpg] Where shall I search first? Unfortunately, the owner wants to "tag along". I know the obvious spots to hunt first, under trees, common areas, ...! I just wanted to get some further support.

Best regards,

The first place I would hit is the front yard, between the house and the street. Then off to the east side of the house and then the rest of the property..

Good luck and have fun

I'd be interested in what's in amongst those trees.

Looks like the curbs are square. Thats were i would start. They use to tie up the horses to the rings in the cement.

Thanks for the feedback. I neglected to mention that open vacant space in the last photo is where the home stood. It was built around the turn of the 20th century.

As a relative "newbie" to metal detecting I am a bit put off as to which coil to start with. I suppose I've muddied the waters a bit by purchasing such a variety of coils. Should I start with the 10" 7.5 concentric, or should I go right to a DD? I do have an arsenal of coils.

good luck on what ever you decide...I think they will all find what you`re looking for...have fun!!!

Hi,
Just a thought :rolleyes:
...but if the owners tagging along maybe a good start would be from rusty iron to pulltab to foil etc for an hour or so - that should get rid of them
I know !!! a devilish thought :devil::devil:
