Inhibition or exhibitionist... what are you?...

Are you an extroverted personality, an exhibitionist, a craver of attention. Do you try to stand out in a crowd, doing whatever it takes to let yourself be known? For example, an extroverted personality, an exhibitionist, would paint themselves green and red (team color) and go to the ball stadium wearing nothing but their underwear, to show off their team painted body... even if it is 300 lbs. (no offense, Art). I know it takes all kinds of people to make the world go round. Could you be an actor, acting in some of the most stupid roles you've ever seen, and pull it off with a straight face? or would you say; No thanks?

Or, on the other hand, would your inhibitions keep you in check? Would you be more subdued in your public displays in how you dress, act, your social interactions with other people. Are you more of a listener than a talker? Do you try NOT to draw attention to yourself and just shake your head at the actions of others?

I think there is a normal range, on a scale from 1 to 10. Perhaps being in the 1-2 range of too much inhibition would be too far to the left of normal. And perhaps being in the 9-10 scale of exhibition would be too far to the right of normal.

So on a scale from 1 to 10, so that we may get to know you better, please pick a number that generally represents you as an inhibitionist or a exhibitionist. Introverted, or perverted... oh, excuse me, I meant extroverted.

As for myself, I am more of an inhibitionist. I don't like public attention. I wouldn't even go to a ball game, and if I were going to watch one, I'd do it from the best seat in the house... which is in front of the TV. I avoid crowds like the plague, and hate parties. Generally am a relatively quiet and reserved person for the most part. I would have to rate myself a 3 1/2. I would be interested in hearing how some of you others would categorize yourself on this social scale.

...I like "show off" better! :D

I don't mind the crowds,( I like looking at all the different people) but offset that by being off by myself occasionally.:detecting: (In my own little world). I would rather listen than talk, as I was always shy as a kid.

.... the above # is almost an average.

Now when I'm quietly enjoying the cool summer breezes whilst laying under a shade tree wearing my favorite Blueboy outfit ... I'm a 2. I don't need no moe stinking attention! I KNOW how pretty I really am.

When I'm wearing my official metal detector guy sweaty stinky hunting clothes and digging CW relics or Roman / Medieval stuff with good detecting friends and find something really neat ... I'm a 9 ... enjoy the flopping almost dead chicken dance detecting buddies!

At work, I'm forced to be a 5 ... dealing with nice folks and some really stupid folks ... wearing my official hardware guy shirt and shorts. We love it when they and their wallets come to visit.

I hate malls/crowds... yet love doing gigs in front of an audience...

I'm usually quite quiet/reserved until I get to know folks... ( I can hear Bob, Ray, Ev & The CT Crew now  Take yer shotz Guys  )

I've been in "leadership positions" all my life... but prefer to remain in the background / supportive roles and let the folks around me shine...

(Even in all the bands... (I play bass)... in conjunction with the drummer, we're the foundation upon which the muzak is built  I stand back by the drummer  Again, a supportive role )

I abhore (sp) crowds... yet love being with our MD'en Crew both in person and on/in this Forum   ) Ask any of the Guys... I can "talk to a wall" AND GET IT TO TALK BACK!! Yet I spend most of my free time SOLO, down in my studio ... tinkering.

So, where duz that put me?

Algebriacally, maybe a - 5 and a + 5 (5 + (-5)) = A BIG ZERO!!!

Told yuh, a walking paradox ... more like an "introverted extroverted pervert" (and you thunk that you killed you?!?! )

Best... Reticent Ralph or

duh Gregarious Gaf

The only crowds I want to see are at the beach draped in gold and swimming to their hearts desire with me cleaning up their mess :detecting:.Not intimidated by much (except wife on warpath )figure lifes too short to be stopped by someone elses opinion so I pursue things I want to do regardless. This attitude must help when asking permission to hunt since I usually get it. Wouldn't paint myself for anything, just can't see the percentage in it.I am nut and a big goof but at least I don't wear duct tape leggings or sit under a tree with a blue dress

My personality has always been that of a chaotic nature. The adaptation hasn't been easy, but I learned the art of flexibility early on out of necessity. I can be the stand-up comedian, the shoulder catching tears, a quiet listener of rambling conversation, a rock of strength, or the melted pussy cat. You might say I am the jack of all trades and a master of none.

After you raise 4 daughters, have 4 granddaughters to date, a mother-in-law living alone next door, 16 sister-in-laws, 45 + niece, a female dog, and being the patriarch of the family at the present, it doesn't take long adapting if you are going to have any chance at survival.

Lets just say, I know my place, :jump: and :spin:, I'm like the ball jumping and spinning around a roulette wheel and where it stops no one really knows. So far it has been one hell of a ride, in my world, man is an endangered species,, and out of self-preservation I occasionally, :wiggle: and  I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the World though. All is copesetic,.
