Ingle system trade token

copper kidd

New member
I only hunted about an hour today because there was a storm coming up , so I had to cut my relic hunting short. I found an Ingles system $1.00 trade token pat Jun 1909 good for 1 dollar at Zimmerman & cooper. A 1950 D wheatie and some general trash. I did a little research and found that Zimmerman & cooper was a general groceries store in Midland , it was listed in a 1915 merchants list I came across. Midland is about 15 miles from where I found the token. I am hunting a late 1800's farm site. When things dry out I'll go hunt some more.
Its made from copper and is 1 3/8" diameter. I just thought it was kind of cool to find some old local history.

Dancer, I use the Garret AT Pro, Standard coil. Yes ticks , I use rubber slip on boots over tennis shoes, pants tucked in and sprayed with deep woods off. Haven't had any problems so far.
