info on the 1270?

I read some info but still not enough, like what kind of batteries does it use, and just an overall take on the 1270 from the users , the pros and cons, thank you HHH.

The 1270 is powerful beep and dig machine, it runs on (2) 9V batteries. I don't do relics but I am told it is good for that and I use it for coins, it does a real good job on deep silver.

All in all I like mine and it does a good job. Pro and con no ID meter, depends on who you ask, for me it's a con.

I hunt relics coins and silver I have several Tesoro and thinking about the Tejon and then I read some replies on the 1270 and found it interesting, I don't care about air test at all just the performance of it hunting thanks,HHH.

well in my opinion with the 1270 8.2khz where the tejon is 17khz the 1270 will get the deep silver but if you like gold the tejon would be the better candidate but over all i think the 1270 handles mineralization better and have got some of my best finds with the 1200 series fishers, not knocking tesoro there a good machine but i think the 1270 is a better of the 2 honestly the weight though the 1270 is heavier just my opinion

I use both the Tejon and the 1270. Both are great relic machines and I have found great things with both. The Tejon is a lighter machine and has better coil options than the 1270 and uses 8 AA batteries. Like was mentioned by the other guys...the 1270 handles mineralization better and I have dug deeper signals with it. I have re-worked the location of the housing on my 1270 and it is now a nicely balanced unit that I can hunt with all day and have.

I had 1270 of all detectors I have had owned it was the best detector,it hits coins, jewelry, and relic all equally well.If I could own a detector again it would be a 1270. The only reason I don't have 1270 now is because I had to hock it to get my wifes repossed car back. Its weight was not a issue to me,I have used other detectors that were worse IMHO
