Info needed on an old Whites Surf II fresh water Non-PI detector

Has anyone had any experience with this particular detector? It's old but when operating properly, is a very good detector. I just bought mine used and when you hold the coil off the ground
and shake the coil slightly, it chirps like a songbird. Can a coil be replaced on this machine? Thanks for any info. Dave.

Coil cable snug? I used one for years, and never had a problem. Great machine.

That is one of the most underated machines of all time. Better than alot of current stuff. Awesome in fresh water lakes.

Yep,a great machine for sure. I replaced mine with a Tiger Shark, which I do like better, but had no complaints with the Amphibian II

was told that they no longer have replacement boards for them so parts may be a problem in the future--i was looking into buy one on feebay
