Got my UK goodies exported this week. Some may remember the dolphin coin thought to be Greek? Well I got a great ID from the museum. It's a debased Silver Roman Denarius from 76 BC. This is long before the Romans invaded Britian, & only the 2nd BC Roman to be dug there on the tours. Per the museum it has: "Winged boy on dolphin speeding right" & the words: "L.LVCERTI TRIO". This is the moneyer & it was minted in Rome. The back "head side" is quite interesting. Say's: "Laureate head of Neptune w. trident over shoulder". Yes, it's hard to see all that, but I can't complain after over 2000 years being buried HH, Bill
